mckenzie is ONE : phoenix family photographer

i love this family. it's been so much fun to watch them grow. i did their belly session & then we did a newborn session.

well, now that baby girl is a year old. & look at her. just look at her.

this might be favorite.

she's so happy.

& so, so sweet.

doting daddy.
lil who!

i didn't notice what her necklace said, but when i realized it i loved this sweet moment more.

thanks for letting me be a part of mckenzie growing up!

this wedding was exceptional. it rained off & on during the reception & got incredibly humid there at the end- we looked like we'd all gone to a swimming party, but that didn't stop anyone from having a fabulous time.

the wedding site: holy family catholic church
the reception venue: whitehall, beauuuuutiful.
the band was: Jeff Day Someday Band
the florist: Ronda Stumler
the caterer: Stumler’s Catering
hair: Trend Designs
makeup: Julie Houser
wedding cake: Sherry Book
groom's cake: Rookies Cookies
gorgeous, gorgeous dress: Blush by Jim Hielm

& now for the pictures!

favorite details:

chelsea had this hair piece made from fabric from her mothers wedding dress.

chelsea's dad getting ready. love his look.

john & his best man, his dad :)

avoiding the rain!

the beautiful wedding party.

moments before the ceremony started i turned around to see them all crying.
what on earth did you say john? ;)

the priest asked them to turn around & see who was there to support them as they started their lives together. love this moment.

i feel like this one is so regal...

      when i saw these bushes...
i couldn't help envisioning all of their heads popping out from behind :)

first dance.

& then the dancing began.

so these might have been the most hilarious bouquet & garter tosses i've ever seen.

chelsea over shot the ladies (she didn't know her strength!). & a lil scrambling ensued.
while john flung it in the wrong direction & two gentlemen dove & wrestled for it.
so i thought this picture was appropriate!

the night is over & everyone has to go home, but there's still time for one more kiss.

what a great night.

i wish you two the happiest of futures.

i donated a session to the Salud! fund raising event for  Gabriel's Angels. an amazing organization that trains dogs to be pet therapists & work with at-risk kids.  it's such a cool idea. my good friend melissa was on the board & introduced me to it.

well, this beautiful family won! they wanted to wait until their son was born, so we just got together last weekend!

i walk into the house & this is the first thing i notice. how adorable?

so sweet,  isabella & her mom.

ahh!! love me some sweet daddy daughter moments.

aren't they a beautiful family?!

LOVE, love, love!!!! this one of mama snuggling with elijah.

these next few of the kids together are so sweet. she's going to be such a good big sister.

it was a pleasure meeting you all! i wish you lots of laughter as you figure out this
new family of four thing!
