roy and sueanne

the much awaited post of their beeeeeeeeeeeautiful wedding in stowe, vermont. thank you guys for being so patient. it's been a crazy month! but i'm sure you've had a crazy month as well living it up in africa! i can't wait to hear all about it!

i knew i had gotten lucky in finding this couple. they were fun-loving, relaxed & all about their guests having a unique wedding experience. they lived in d.c. which i just happened to be visiting a few months later. so we scheduled an engagement shoot & i'm so glad we did because i got to them know them a little better. they were everything i expected: sweet, in love, good-lookin, and fun to be around.

but... i got to know them really well over the rehearsal & their wedding day & all i have to say is you guys are awesome. they had a ben & jerry's truck at the rehearsal so you could have as much as you wanted (i was well behaved, promise.)!!! then they had a huge bonfire and fireworks :) it was a very kid friendly weekend with toys, goodie bags & a clown, so even the kids enjoyed it!

sueanne was such a calm bride. she was so excited about all the details that she had worked so hard on. from her red shoes to the pine cone seating arrangements, to the entrance to the reception tent. it was all beautiful.

before i go any further i must thank brent harrewyn for assisting me during the day!

here are a few of my favorites:

sueanne wanted the look of audrey hepburn... which was such a great look for her!

i loved her dress & pearls & bouquet. so elegant & classy.

sweet moment with her stepdad before walking down the aisle.

one happy man.

i love how big her smile was all day long.

the church was beautiful.

i don't know why but this is one of my favorite candids from the day.

attack of the bubbles.

we made several stops for portraits... how could we not when vermont looked like this?

meanwhile... the wedding party was up to no good while we were frolicking in the leaves :)

huge group photo.

like i said, sueanne really put some energy into the details & it was beautiful.

first dance.

smokin' a cigar.

roy's sweet dance with his mother to forever young.

& i don't think we have enough time to talk about how much fun the reception was- your friends were ridiculous & i loved it :)

congratulations you two!!! may that party be a hint to how much you celebrate your lives together.
